Our team serves as the architectural backbone of the engineering organization. We are responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the core infrastructure that powers our global service suite.

The Role

As an SRE/Platform Engineer, you will treat infrastructure as a software problem. You will be instrumental in scaling our core services and ensuring our entire application suite is resilient, observable, and portable.

What You Will Do

• Architect Infrastructure: Design and implement robust infrastructure using Python-based Pulumi, driving our "everything as code" philosophy.

• Orchestrate at Scale: Manage and optimize production Kubernetes clusters, refining deployment strategies and Helm chart architectures.

• Enable Connectivity: Implement and manage Istio service mesh to ensure secure, resilient, and observable service-to-service communication.

• Data & Messaging: Maintain and scale high-throughput data streaming infrastructure, including Kafka and NATS Jetstream.

• Deep Observability: Own the full observability stack (Loki, Tempo, and Mimir), providing the engineering org with deep insights into system performance and distributed tracing.

• Cloud Portability: Contribute directly to our multi-cloud vision by building cloud-agnostic systems that eliminate vendor lock-in.

• Network Engineering: Manage complex network topologies, including Site-to-Site VPNs and Direct Connect circuits, to ensure seamless connectivity across environments.

Qualifications

Required (Must-Haves)

• Experience: 2–6 years in a DevOps, Platform, or SRE role with a focus on production-grade systems.

• Kubernetes Expertise: Deep hands-on experience operating, scaling, and troubleshooting Kubernetes in production.

• Software Engineering: Strong proficiency in Python for automation and IaC development (treating infrastructure code like application code).

• IaC: Proficiency in Pulumi (preferred) or Terraform.

• Cloud Mastery: Proven experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP). Experience other clouds like Oracle Cloud and Hetzner is a plus.

• Observability: Experience implementing comprehensive monitoring, logging, and tracing stacks in cloud-native environments.

Preferred (Nice-to-Haves)

• Hybrid/Multi-Cloud: Experience managing workloads across multiple cloud providers or on-prem/bare-metal environments.

• Stateful Services: Familiarity with managing database infrastructure (SQL, NoSQL, or Distributed stores).

• Advanced Networking: Deep understanding of VPCs, Transit Gateways, BGP, and cloud-native networking security.

• Specific Tooling: Prior experience with Istio, Kafka, or NATS.
